Thanks for the advise Rhodesy....All my brews have a grain bill around 3.8K, never over 4K, doughing in at 60c as it is the temperature off the combi boiler, I will try your method.

no worries, hope it works out. Another method I forgot to add was to fix a silicone seal around the top mesh plate. This can be made by cutting down some silicone tubing with a sharp blade and wrapping round to fit. The end result means the plate will stay in place as you kind of wedge it in then sit the top filter place on top, this prevents the filters moving during the mash when the pump is on. I do think the oat husks may help a little though.
