New Grainfather Controller

Post by nibber » Sat Nov 12, 2016 5:57 pm

Just received (yesterday) and fitted the new Grainfather Connect Controller a very simple swap out procedure-see photos, :D the Bluetooth app connected straight away (unlike my Braumeister machines with the wireless module which is next to useless! :wall )-you can switch the pump and heater on and off and set up a timer option via your phone I haven't tried a brew yet

Got mine Yesterday too. Connected it up to the mains and had a play with the menu but not connected to the GF yet. Found the User Guide a bit scrappy and havev't yet found a way to reset the menu. It might be there but I haven't found it. However, for all that it looks clean in operation. Looking forward to doing a brew. Oh, and the App for Android isn't out yet :(
Best wishes

Dave

Forget the BM / GF argument, the new controller is certainly a GREAT improvement on the original one. =D>

The lack of an Android app is a major cock up by them, surely Android use must far,far exceed Apple .

That might be true but a lot of them are being used as little more than phones, it can be harder to develop am application for them due to fragmentation and general market share does not necessarily reflect market share amongst GF owners.

That said I am am sure it won't be long before they have both apps out.

Can't see them letting it out until they are sure it's stable.
Best wishes
