GRapes with Noble Rot - advice please

Post by Cully » Sun Nov 15, 2015 1:11 pm

I am being given a load of grapes that the owner has informed me have Noble rot. He is in his 80's and has had to give up wine making so he is giving me this years crop. He says that if I use them "as-is" I can make a Tokai type wine, which he has done in the past. Or they can be washed and used in a more normal manner. I am unsure as to what to do, anyone done this before or have any advice/opinions either way?

if genuinely with noble rot then make a tokai type wine with them. no idea how but I would be reading up all I can to make it...

noble rot does not regularly happen. it depends on the growing conditions.

too good an opportunity to not use them I think
