Back sweetening Turbo Cider

Post by DC » Tue Nov 17, 2015 1:01 pm

Hi all, I have recently made a batch of Turbo Cider and I have added some Raspberry syrup to it at towards the end of fermentation, now I am wanting to back sweeten the TC and was wondering what you Guys use to back sweeten TC?? I don't want to add sugar (apart from adding sugar for carbonation) and risk any further fermentation in the bottle. So if anyone has any suggestions on what to use as a sugar substitute that would be greatly received.

Cheers DC

I use a Morrison's own brand sweetener. IIRC it's sucralose with a little bit of maltodextrin.
I only use just enough to take the edge off the dryness, and it doesn't give that artificial sweetener taste at that level. It might if you use enough to make a properly sweet cider.
