Probably get shot for this but once made a hell of a lager re Dave Lines recipe...San Miguel with Edme Lager Kit and golden syrup..us up north call it treacle...great spread on bread...the treacle not the San Miguel....oh and a few hallerteu hops.

syrup it will be then , i wont mess around with citric acid etc. :D

OK, you've all got me spinning in circles. I was all set to try and make some invert sugar for a brew this weekend. I think I read here that it's just sugar, water and citric acid cooked until it gets to a color you like.
Now I'm hearing glucose and just plain sugar. Then back to syrup or was it treacle?
HELP!

i know , just go for syrup like me its easier :D if you make it with citric acid you then have to add chalk to reduce the ph i think :?
