Hello
Does anyone have a recipe for Sam smiths nut brown ale?
Can you get the ss yeast from a bottle or has a yeast producer cultured it?
Cheers
Wilf

It's possible White Labs WLP037 is theirs as well, in any case it produces a nice clone. I don't know of any bottle-conditioned Samuel Smiths' but that would be lovely, wouldn't it?
BTW, thanks for that recipe, Barney! While we're on the topic, do you know the breakdown for Samuel Smith Imperial Stout?

Sweet. That fills-in some blanks, thanks!barney wrote:This is reportedly close but I have not brewed it myself, so cant vouch for it. Not much info about it at all really.seymour wrote:Samuel Smith Imperial Stout?
Would you have guessed it contained 7.2% Roasted Barley? It doesn't seem to have as much charred grain bitterness as I'd expect from that.

This has turned into a really nice drink. It is however much too heavy on the coffee flavour. Could this be from the amber or chocolate malt? Hopping is good so no changes needed.
