I've just weighed out my grains for tomorrow's brew, which is a kinda Citra Gold.

I'm using all Citra (with a couple of extra additions) and in the spirit of the original it's a bit of a user upper, so has a little caramalt added, and a bit more MO than planned to finish off the sack.
Hopefully it will still turn out well!

quick question regarding the peel. Im going to use a half grapefuit and half orange and just peel the entire skin off and chuck it into the boil. is this acceptable?

I would just use the zest myself - the coloured part of the skin. The white pith underneath it is just bitter and won't add anything good.
Ingredients: Water, Barley, Hops, Yeast, Seaweed, Blood, Sweat, The swim bladder of a sturgeon, My enemies tears, Scenes of mild peril, An otter's handbag and Riboflavin.

Brewed it earlier today, used the zest from one orange and half a red grapefruit. I am really looking forward to this one, it should be ready for the final of the euros and my caravan holiday!!

You can use any hop you like. It would no doubt taste great with cascade

Sorry for the delay. I agree, yes. This is a very adaptable recipe, a good starting point for pretty much any hop trial.
