It not quite the original recipe, sorry but it Cirta.
And I think I should of put this in brewday. Anyway, 23L ended up as 20l at 1.062.

Pale 75
Torified 12.0
Pale Rye Malt 5.0
Black Malt Prinze 4.5
Home made, Darkish 2.0 (Pale crystal wetted and roasted at 110c for 1hour, no mellowing, toast, biscuit, toffee)
Special B 2.0 (balance out the harsh home made)
Pale Chocolate 1.5
Honey 200g, (no progress)

60min Challenger 6.50 166.00 (picked the wet cones and straight into the brew pot)
25min Bramble 5.57 14.00 (three years plus, open and yellow looking)
25min East kent 4.56 20.00 (date un-known)
0 min Bramble 5.57 14.00
0 min East kent 4.56 7.00
0min Savijnski 3.01 13.00 (ran out of east kent)

Duel mix at 22c, one pack of each ~ Mangrove Jack's M42 New World Strong Ale Mangrove + Mangrove Jack's Burton Union Yeast.
Primary 3 days only due to over pitching. Good Bannan, toffee, and fruity aroma. Took 2 hours to get going.

Secondary, tonight.
100g dry hop Styrian Cardinal AA?

Hope it turns out well. Big fan of citra, but some other hops would add extra dimensions. Maybe better or worse.

I'm bowing out. It's a bit far off the original recipe to call it seymores citra. Moved it to brewday, thanks for comment ebarn.

It's a lovely beer. I brewed a batch that I drank this summer. It's pretty bonkers, it's not subtle but it is tasty!

Brewed this today and hit target no problem. Once it is well and truly done I may let it condition in the keg a few weeks and then rack into a keg with the dry hops (loose).

I dry hopped in the FV for about 8/9 days and kegged this at the weekend. Took a small sample tonight. Very very nice Image

Got some friends over for homemade pizza and this on tap over the weekend. Should go down well.

Wish I’d kept mine away from friends, you’ll find they drink it quick! Enjoy :)

haha yeah, to be fair I want them to sample something good and maybe out of the comfort zone for some of them. I have a load of Citra left as bought in bulk so already planning another monster with it.

Well I’ve just rebrewed this glorious beer again. It was a tough experience as I though I had shifted the flu I have had all week, turns out I was not as well as I thought, I am wrecked now! That said I hit every number bang on and have 23l of glorious black gold in the FV :)

Anyone who’s not had a crack at this beer should as it’s wonderful stuff. Looking forward to this being ready, used Tyneside yeast from brewlabs for this batch, interesting to see what that does for it, it’s a nice yeast.
