Styrian Goldings SMASH

Post by mbrew » Thu Jul 27, 2017 12:39 pm

Hi,

Has anyone tried a Styrian Goldings (Bobek 3.6 AA) SMASH or any thoughts on if it would make a good beer?

A recipe for Styrian Stunner was all the rage a few years back, Google it, or search it on here. It was a smash recipe and Bobek were often the Styrians of choice. I'm a big fan of Bobek, they make a great single hop beer.

i did one more than once, always a winner:

Vienna 100%
styrian goldings 90min boil and 5 min boil
4grs Irish moss 15 min boil
Yeast: S05 (you can use nottingham)

OG: 1048
FG: 1010
30 IBUs
Fermentation temperature: 16ºC

you get a nice, crisp and refreshing pint with a beautifull color. It is one of my house ale!!
