Peach wheat beer?

Post by ben034 » Wed Feb 07, 2018 6:24 pm

Looking for thoughts on a "kitchen cupboard" brew.

I usually buy just enough ingredients for each brew but as maltmiller haven't sorted out their recipe builder i've bought a few bags of grain for a pale ale and kolsh and have some ingredients leftover.

I brew 9 litre batches so need about 2kg grain for a 5% beer.

I have the following:

1.25kg pilsner malt
0.4kg wheat malt
25g hallertau
50g citra
1 packet CML kolsh yeast

I was thinking an experimental peach "wheat beer" with peach puree added after primary fermentation? Not my usual style but thought it may be interesting...tho thoughts? Thanks

I think you’d need at l ast 50 per cent wheat, for it to be on style.
