PH Reader Recommendations
Hey folks,
I'm looking to buy a decent PH reader. Not one of those bullshit yellow jobbies that float around eBay, I'm after something decent that will last. Have one of the yellow ones. It died.
Any recommendations?
Cheers

Re: PH Reader Recommendations
I have a Hanna one.
Just make sure to calibrate it against toow solutions ( I also have a 3rd to double check) + use the recommended cleaning and storage solution.

Cheers man. Which Hanna one do you have? Am seeing quite a few with varying price tags.

Re: PH Reader Recommendations
I would go for the Hanna HI 98127 or the Hanna HI 98128

Re: PH Reader Recommendations
I used to use the Hanna range of PH solutions (at great cost) now I use a generic liquid PH solution which are readily available on eBay.
I did however buy a bottle of Hanna storage and cleaning solution which considering the amount you use I would suggest if you can find another member to share the cost / split a bottle it would be the way to go.

You can get 2 bottles, (pH 4 and pH 7) for under a tenner - 250 mls in each through Amazon.far9410 wrote:Hi I'm interested in one of these, can someone tell me what buffer solutions i will need to buy, will this be supplied with the unit, where is the best place to buy?

The Hanna meter will either do a single or dual calibrationfar9410 wrote:thanks guys, do I need both types of solution?

I would recommend the dual calibration which you need the 4.01 & 7.01.
I also bought a 10 to double check the result (not strictly necessary unless you have an OCD)
Get the storage solution tho.......
