Barbed fittings for regulator

Post by mosquat » Wed May 16, 2018 10:57 pm

I’m moving over to flexible hose for my co2, I bought some 1/4” barb connections for my regulator but I cant get them to stop leaking.

Has anyone else connected up something similar and can recommend a 1/4” barb, or anything that will connect to flexible hose.

Previously I had JG fittings but guess there’s no way to connect JG to flexible hose?

Thanks all

The same inserts that make synthetic water pipe robust enough to handle compression fittings may? also enable you to employ JG fittings with more flexible hose.

Cheers Fil - I'm thinking of using the previously fine JG straight adapters with JG hose stems...which should then connect to the flexible hose...hopefully

Is that not potentially changing a barb for a barb?
What's the hose that you bought and is that definitely where it is leaking, ie not where you have attached new barbs?
What clips are you using to hold them on? Certain clips form a distorted shape when tightening and can cause leaks.
