Haha, yeah i know! I now HAVE to drink more beer so that i can use my new system!

Has anyone ever had a duff thermocouple that reads different temps when the wire is moved about?

I finally got it to read right after moving it around a bit.

Yep I had this but it was static. One of the chaps said to recheck the connections. I did, I took them apart and repeated the fitting proceedure.
It worked though when I took them apart there didn't seem to be anything wrong with the connections :?

What do you mean 'the wire is moved about' :?: Moved about in what, air/liquid :?:

EDIT

For some reason I thought you meant the probe above

Is the wire near any other electrical cables :?:
Could it be a lose connection :?:

I had a pipe-clamp thermocouple that suddenly started reading about 30C less than it should have. I wiggled it (technical term) and it started working again. I replaced it and have not had a problem since.
