Corney Fittings - Leaky

Post by nil_fhios_agam » Tue Jun 09, 2009 8:10 pm

I got a corney from Norm a while back and only getting to look at it now. I also got the correct disconnects and JG fittings with it. The problem is now that the JG fitting that screws onto the disconnects is leaky. I have tightened them REALLY tight, spanner tight, but still the gas leakys on the way in and the beer leaks on the way out. Am I missing something? Should there have been washers with them? I got 4 and all 4 are the same?

Grab hold of the fitting and push the pipe in very hard! You'll find it goes in so far quite easily but to push it past the sealing washers takes more effort.

Its not leaking from the pipe but the screw area....if you not what I mean.

Hmmm that's strange. Mine are only nipped up with a spanner and they've never leaked. Odd. :(
