King Keg Bottom Tap

Post by coops » Wed Jun 17, 2009 2:53 pm

I was wondering whether its possible to replace the drum tap on my King Keg bottom tap with another type of tap. A vast supply of vaseline applied to the thread and it still sticks. Has anyone got any ideas. I'm getting a massive head on my beer. I did see somewhere someone having a length of hose running from his tap. Would that solve the issue of a massive head? I did enquire in my local homebrew shop but they are unable to get the hose anymore.

Many thanks

You could always try one of these sparkler taps matey. :)

A cheaper way would be to slip a turkey baster of the correct size, minus the rubber bulb, over the bottom of the tap. If it slips off, I suggest using a little gas fitter's white tape around the tap. Make sure that the tip of the baster is touching or very close to the bottom of the glass and draw your pint. It does work, I promise you.
