Tesco Kettle Question on wiring

Post by crowds » Thu Sep 10, 2009 1:59 pm

Im about ready to start putting my elements into my boiler but Id just like to check with those in the know on which wires I should be snipping/joining.

I was presuming if I want to bypass the switch I just connect the two brown wires and remove the black one to disable the auto cutoff

But on closer inspection of the switch section it shows the black wire to be feeding the led

So what do I have to do to disable the auto shut off ?

Cheers

hi

connect the two brown wires together and pull out the black one. this will bypass the switch but will keep the boil dry cut off there so you are protected. i did this with my two tesco kettles and all is working fine.
