ALTERNATIVE BEER ENGINE

I normally bottle me beer (mostly all grain). I do like a head on a pint though, and not too much gas, which is normally associated with bottled beers.

The best of both worlds would be to serve lightly primed bottled beer, via a dip tube, through a hand pump with a sparkler.

I have been following a few beer engines on fleabay.............does anyone have any ideas on any other type of pump which may work in the same way and could be used with a sparkler?

I have bought a traditional hand pump now. When I have received it and done a little experimenting I will post an update. I will see which sparkler is best (will have to borrow some from my mates pub).........looking forward to "fluffy" beer

I may be trying a keg again, Chris, so I will have the pump ready to go along that avenue. On the fork issue, I have passed beer through a cafetiere producing a fair head!

That is by far the best idea.........my girlfriend is scared of anyhthing with more legs than a horse, so that should also keep my beer safe
