Second transformer knackered...

Does anyone use these step down transformers from ebay?

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/USA-UK-STEP-DOWN- ... _500wt_885

My first one gave up the ghost after, I would say approximately 10 - 15 hours use in aggregate. The second one I used didn't even make it to the end of the last brew session. Am I using the wrong transformer? :? Here's the specifications for the pump

Specs look ok for your pump
Perhaps you need one that can hack a bit more wattage (should be able to handle it from the specs but hey)
or try one that you didn't get from ebay!

FV: -
Conditioning: AG34 Randy's Three Nipple Tripel 9.2%, AG39 APA for a mate's wedding
On bottle: AG32 Homegrown Northdown ESB, AG33 Homegrown Cascade Best
On tap: -
Garden: 2x cascade, 2x Farnham whitebine (mathon), 2x northdown, 1x first gold

I talked to the guy who sold me it on ebay, apparently 1.2A is overloading it slightly, he's kindly offered to send me a new one though.
