Digital thermometer

Post by philant » Sat Sep 26, 2009 11:54 am

Hi everyone.

Can someone recommend a decent digital thermometer with which to accurately measure the temperature of mash liquor and sparge water?
The one I have at present works on those small, round batteries and is too slow at arriving at the final temperature.

I bought one of those and used it for the first time this week. kept the probe in the mash and only turned it on when I wanted to check the temp.
I stuck it in the wort when it was boiling with two elements on the go and it read 98.5°C
I then stuck my glass brewing thermometer in and that read the same - 98.5°C
