FX [ Falls at first fence... ]
I have a junior 3 piece airlock... no instructions... how hard can it be ?
2 questions then...
a) how much liquid do I place in
b) does the lid have to be tight, or just resting ( otherwise I cant see where the gas can escape )
Cheers
Kevin

Re: silly question... airlocks
The lid needs to be airtight, so it needs clipping on (the airlock allows air to escape - makes an entertaining glugging sound as it does ). I'd fill the airlock about a third of the way up (if it's the double barrel type? like an S on it's side?).

Re: silly question... airlocks
My opinion:
a) As little as possible to make the air lock air tight.
b) Lid of air lock: loose. Lid of FV: tightly shut.

Re: silly question... airlocks
My opinion:
a) dont worry about it, as long as flys cant get in its allright.
b) watch the bubbles, it ok everyone does it and you wont go blind.
c) some people just throw a towel over the bucket and dont use air locks.
