Could one of these be cannabalised into a FV heater ( with an external 5v adaptor ) ?

They are cheap, and I'm sure I've got one knocking around.

But do they give out enough heat to be useful ?

would you not just get a small hot spot, and less activity around it?

like the idea though.
you could have JBK site up on the PC constantly, and be using the PC power to have a FV desk-side!

power output is just too small from one of those and the maximum power that can be transferred through usb is certainly too small to heat a large volume of water. to modify one of those to take an external supply would put it in danger of melting part of itself.
