Life span of PolyProp boilers?
A thought occurred to me the other day, plastics tend to get brittle over time and I would have thought the variation between room temp and boiling on a regular basis would make boilers a bit prone to this. For a typical PP bucket (in my case, a 2008 H&G 10G boiler) what is the estimated lifespan? I am slightly wary about the thought of the plastic failing when it is holding back 50 litres of boiling wort.

I can't remember who told me this, but I was told years ago that if you store them away from direct sunlight, radiaters, heat sources, etc it will take them much longer to go brittle.
