CO2 Regulator - Wrong Size - Can I reduce it?

So, the nice bloke from the car yard across the road dropped me in 2 CO2 non-refillable welding cannisters this weekend. Unfortunately, they have a smaller fitting then the regulator I purchased from Norm.

Looking at the regulator, the hose that goes into it has the correct fitting on the gas end of it, but this has had another, bigger fitting connected into it. Aha! I thought, I will simply remove the bigger fitting and put it somewhere safe, unfortunately my master plan was thwarted as it seems to have had some form of epoxy put on the thread prior to connecting it up which means I cannot disconnect it (Not for lack of trying, but my puny arms were no match for it).

So, two questions:
What type of connector do I need to go from big CO2 connector to small CO2 connector?
Where can I purchase such a wonderful item?
