Hi all

i've aquired a real ale keg from a friend who no longer needs it, the only thing there is no tap to go with it. i've tried some googleing but i'm not really sure what i'm looking for, can any one help.

its not letting me attach a picture directly but heres the keg i've got and the tap I would like.

what else do i need it looks like theres some sort of bung around the tap is this a replaceable part as well?

so does anyone know what i'm looking for is called and anywhere i can get some?

You need these http://www.pubshop.co.uk/catalog/plasti ... p-151.html The plastic tap, shive and keystone. you will also get a load of advice no doubt from otheres about how your keg is probably illegal and that the beer will go off in about 3 days! Subsonic

I am not sure what you might need for this keg, perhaps you should post on the CAMRA website, it seems to me that this would be up their alley.

it's definatly legal he used to own a micro brewery. (but he's no longer around to ask)

So have I got this right the key stone fits in first then the tap screws into that yeah?

Not so much screws in but you have to smack it with a big hammer! I did one or two at work and got covered in beer as you need to vent the cask first with a shive and a tut on the top. Once the pressure is slightly vented you can then bang the cask tap in...we sell them if youre interested!
