Plate chiller Question

For those of you who use silicon tube, is 4mm wall ie 12.7mm id 20.7mm od strong enough to withstand the back pressure when pumped through a plate chiller. Cheers.

I had a case when the tube came off so I've started to use Jubilee clips.

I was thinking of circulating wort round the fv a la mash circulation.

Initially it will be 100c, I'm not sure I'd subject braided pvc to temps over 80c for any length of time.

Yes I'm generally of that opinion, I'm just mulling things over at the moment.
