Totton Pumps

Post by floydmeddler » Sun Nov 08, 2009 12:01 pm

Hi all,

I'm at the stage now where I get fed up recirculating the wort by hand. It's time consuming, messy and very tricky if you are half p*ssed like I usually am during a brewing session. Xmas is looming and I'm sorting out my letter to old St Nick.

I want to buy a Totton pump. I can get the 20/12 no problem. However, I also like the look of this one:

Do any of you own one of these? If so, can it handle hot wort and secondly, where did you buy it?

Cheers!

Well the spec says 85C so should be fine.
I bought the NDP 25/4 which I believe Chris also uses.....

If you email
http://myworld.ebay.co.uk/juneymac/ and tell him what you want you might find it appearing on Ebay shortly afterwards
Cheers

If you can get a March 809 with the polysulphone head they're good for boiling temps, so you can recirc the end of the boil as well, for rapid chilling.

Cheers for the heads up. Just bought a Totton 20/12 though! Ah well. Just want it to recirculate during mashing so this should suit me perfectly.
