Hi there,
i hope you can help,
I have an old Cordonbru Bruheat boiler.
The thermostat has packed up.
I've taken it to bits & the plastic pin that holds the metal clip in the centre had snapped.
i glued it & left it on the microwave. " NOBODY TOUCH IT"
Needless to say, the Mrs cleaned it & lost the pin!!!!!! Knightmare.
Does anybody know what length it should be, or better still what I can use to fix it. I've tried tooth picks, straws everything (Non metal) I can find, & no matter what length I cant get the thermostat to work again.
I see many threads regarding by passing the thermostat. This would be my next option, but a boiler that I've had a good 25 years, it seems a shame not to fix it. Any help appriciated.

Re: Cordon Bru, BRUHEAT Boiler
I have had a Bruheat boiler for well over twenty years, the thermostat packed up ages ago, I just disconnected it and it works fine. No gentle simmer though, just a rolling boil.
