King Keg Bottom Tap Tap

Post by BeerBear » Sat Nov 28, 2009 10:01 am

I have a King Keg Bottom Tap barrel and find that the flow control with the drum tap is really bad. The tap sticks slightly and makes flow control impossible  . I also have a budget keg which I find a million times better!

Can anyone suggest a replacement tap for the KK bottom tap?

Many Thanks

Leyland homebrew stock the Dalex & Brewgas taps, you can find both of them on this page.

I would suggest you dismantle this tap when the keg is empty, by carefully prising off the cap on the top, and then vaseline the thread.
You will find this will be 100% better.

Second Lilly's suggestion, they drove me nuts for months before I read about greasing the thread, always used to get a pint glass full of froth before!
