another kettle element question

I have just taken the element out the exact same kettle to use in my HLT. Being a clumsy idiot though, I drilled the hole in the bucket too big!!!! :oops: Thankfully it was only in a cheap plastic FV :) So I still haven't tried it out yet but see no reason why it wont work as it's rated at 2.2kw. Despite the hole being about 1mm too big it water only trickled out when I did a test fill. Right size hole and it should hold up fine.
If I had all the money I'd spent on brewing... I'd spend it on brewing!

The kettle I bought from Wilkinsons was not suitable because the plastic shrouding/casing around the 3 pins obstructed connection by my kettle lead. I also recall reading on here the pins are too short, so you would have to solder/permanently wire something on to them. No such issues with Asda ones IME. :)
