Stainless Steel Elements/Tap holes

Post by dcq1974 » Mon Dec 07, 2009 7:58 pm

Hi All
Finally got a 70 L stainless and will be adding 2 x Asda kettle elements and tap. Just wondered what height and size everyone recommends for the elements (I have an alemann style hop stopper) and tap like most use on here with a tank coupler and ball valve tap.

The tap hole is 20mm and I think the ASDA element holes should be drilled at 38 mm (or 40 mm). Question is what height so they clear the hop stopper?
What height is good for the 20mm tap hole?

Any help appreciated all and any photos would be fab
