At the moment, Aldi are selling a spanner set for (iirc) £3.99. There's a 22mm deep ring spanner in there that's perfect.

I only used a spanner to undo the posts when I first got my cornies. After that I only put them back finger tight to make dismantling easier. So far I've had no leaks.

7/8" AF ring spanner should do it. Works for me. There is not much space on some kegs between the fixing and the lid although its not a problem for me. A 7/8" open spanner might be better. A box spanner might be the best answer if you can find one.

A 22mm spanner as mentioned earlier is a "good enough" fit.

When refitting don't over tighten. The seal is made on rubber so lots of force isn't necessary and can force the long dip tube to turn out of position.
