Hi y'all!
I just finished converting my mango chutney bin (finally) for use as a spare HLT and used DAAB's instructions (or more precisely my memory of his instructions) on fitting a tank connector with 15mm piping going through the center... can't find the picture he drew either in my forum searching.
Test boil went well but after emptying I noticed that the washer between the backnut and wall of the bin has melted. Was I meant to have put the washer on the outside of the bin instead of the inside? No leaks yet but seeing as the washer has severly drooped I am worried...
Would some LS-X on the outside around where the tank connector meets the bin suffice as a backup in case the washer goes?
Thanks for any input!
