Its not a prob with the hole size, just that as the water get's hot it gets so flimsy that it starts to leak. H&G did say the new buckets wern't up to being made into boilers..... :oops:

Just a quick one on drilling hole technique.

I use a flat bit which is a millimetre or so smaller than the required hole size, drill nice and slow. Once I'm through with the drill, I use a hooked carpet type blade in a stanley knife to clean up the edges and make the hole just big enough. Gives a nice clean finish at just the right size every time. :)
