Decided it was the last time it was doing this so I was going to bypass the thermal cut out. Per Kernelm's note above this means bypassing the whole thermostat assembly but it's as much use as a chocolate teapot anyway. Two screws out on the underside, spade connector from the downstream side of the thermotsat chopped and into the block connector and job done.

Hi Jambi, I'm having the same problem with my brupaks boiler. I don't suppose you can post a photo of your modified wiring for me to copy could you? I'm not much of an electrician haha!! Thanks in advance

Afraid I don't Phil, but if you open yours up and take a photo I'll annotate what to do.

However, as discussed in this thread, did you try just removing the false bottom to see if that improves things?

Thanks for the reply, mine didn’t come with a false bottom.

I took the bottom off to remove the element and give it a better clean on the weekend. Meanwhile had a sneaky look at the wiring. I think I might know what to do, but if you don’t mind I’ll take a photo when I get a chance and ask you questions

Hi Jambo,

It appears I figured it out, see the picture of how I rewired the boiler.

Tested it with a couple of litres of water seems to work ok....Image
