Corny Keg Poppets / Posts Same size?

Post by mccrea1000 » Wed Nov 23, 2011 10:37 pm

I'm having difficulty getting a replacement poppet for a Corny post(In). Ive obtained two new poppets from Hop and grape. Neither fit. The Keg is a 19 L marked "de jong, eurocan, gorredyk-holland". Should I just get new posts and poppets? Will any post fit my keg?
Help please.

The offending poppet and post can be viewed by the link below:

Hello, and welcome!

I had an issue with poppets and also found numerous designs of them around so I and posted asking on it here. Wolfy replied saying he'd heard of some alledgedly universal poppets (second post) but in the end, after kind help from Wallybrew I replaced the O-rings on my existing poppets (in this post on that thread).

Obviously I can't say if its a solution that would work in all cases; there are numerous types of post and poppet around and it may not solve it if the poppet itself (or even the post) are too worn or defective.. it seems to be working out very well indeed for me so far though.

Cheers
