Has anyone had any luck in finding another socket other than the Halfords one I found (reason being you cant order the 33mm socket on line & most stores only have a couple (at most) in stock).

Hi Guys
Toolstation item no 26461 will undo sankey spears.
The difficult to remove safety spear clip is just to the side of the lugg that has a s on it ! press the middle down with a bar then ram a screwdriver in the clip then unscrew the lot takes 5 mins when you know where to shove the screwdriver
I am getting some grundy type delivered tomoro and they are supposed to be a lot easier to remove .
I will let you know tomorrow.
Cheers
Tim

Well I`ll be interested in how you get on with the grundy type, although surely with the "s" type once the clip is removed they are very easy to use.

Also wouldnt mind know if the type "d" is readily available in the UK? as the Americans do a low profile coupler

Nice to see kegwatch have also given out a standard reply, I wonder what would happen if some one made a carboard template of a keg and placed that on ebay  As for the ridiculous price [-X

 I only had the invoice off them yesterday. Posted the cheque today but can't fault the service. Delivered before payment!

I requested the spears removed but I'm not sure if they have been. My mrs didn't know what I was on about on the phone lol.

I'll let you know later.

They were delivered by Crusader too, not a courier. Top service

Just spoke to Justin and his delivery driver is busy delivering across the country, mine should be here next week.

When you get hold of the later Alex I`ll be interested to see what safety clip they have used :)

Well before I return the couple of sockets to Halfords, if anyone wants one (see for sale section) let me know.

Cheers
