This is a bit OTT for a first build, you can make it a lot cheaper and simpler. But thanks, I had 3 years of kits and couldn't quite produce what I was after so I turned to AG.

Still looking good mate, how long till you reckon it'll be ready to use? What did you pick for your first on the system?

Hi Lee,

have you thought about flushing the flux from the pipe with hot water before use..? You dont want that in your filter.

It will be a few weeks yet, I've got a few busy weekends ahead.

I'm going to make a punk ipa clone which I found on the beer smith app.

No but good point. I'll strip it down and clean it out.

Hi Jim and thanks.

Mod to boiler, there was too much dead space.

Fitted a 'burst fire' unit to control the vigour of the boil.

Testing it today.

This may sound like a silly question but... are those water filters for filtering the water into the HLT? Where are you based and is the water quality that poor?

I only ask becasue I used the same filter casing to make my hop back (althogh not 3 in a row!)

Hi DA

Yes they are, and no the waster isn't that poor but it was FOC, it just cost me 17 pounds for a new set of filters that are good for 2000L.
