I'm on my first homebrew - a Wherry Kit.
I fermented it for six days in a normal bucket fermenter and then siphoned it into a King Keg (top tap). I added 80g of sugar and screwed on the cap tight. About 30 minutes afterwards I noticed the tap was leaking. The only way I can stop the leak is to unscrew the top and release the pressure.
Does anyone know a way to solve this?
Leaking King Keg Tap
Thanks for the reply.
I'll have a go at fixing the tap when I've drunk the beer.
In the meantime what is the best thing to do? I'm planning on keeping the lid loosely screwed on as this lets the pressure out and stops the tap from leaking. I can then tighten the lid and add CO2 when I want to drink a few glasses. My fear is that the beer will go off quickly if I do this.
