The box is a decoupage box from Ebay with a PC fan controller also from Ebay which I frenched into the front of the box and using a bit of filler before spraying the whole thing black. The top of the box is a non-slip dashboard mat which I cut down to an approximate circle.
The holes in the top of the box where so the blue LED light from the fan could shine up through the wort and look funky but I then realised it might also knacker up the starter wort and cause it to go funky (although I think UV skunking is more hop related) so I blocked the holes with some ali tape!
Rather than glueing the magnets onto the fan itself (and effecting the fan magnets) I mounted some balsa onto the fan top and cut that to an approximate circle and with the fan on drew circles with a fan on the balsa and glued the magnets in place.
