UK source to ship to USA Backflow valve, co2 valve

Post by homebrewdude76 » Sat Feb 04, 2017 3:27 pm

I broke my backflow valve for my beer engine.
So I need to order this from the UK.

I am also using a propane regulator to back fill my keg with CO2.
Does the real thing work better? Since I am ordering from the UK should I get this also.

I have a standard sparkler that I dont use. But since I am placing an order I would like to get a cap for visuall reasons.

Any suggestions on a store that sells the above and ships to the USA?

Pretty sure https://www.ukbrewing.com/ have cask breathers etc and they're based in the US.

The breather is $75. Is this any different than the propane requlator I have?

Not seeing any of the reverse flow valves, I will have to call them.

if your current modded propane regulator is supplying you co2 at just above one atmosphere without causing you any issues, i would stick with it ;)

for a one way valve why not fit a standard JG speedfit valve, i have a couple spare 3/8" sized but i expect your using 1/2" tube with your engine?

I was wondering if I could use a simple valve like that. My old valve had 3/8 going in and 1/2 going to the engine

looks just like my unused valves which cost circa £8 each, if you struggle finding the right size why not simply use stem connectors to adapt to the size you need.

I may even have a 1/2" sized one that landed here with a couple of ex pub fonts saved from the skip, will check tomorrow..
