Lever Tap, fully take apart - not just lever bit ?

Post by techtone » Thu Feb 09, 2017 10:33 pm

I often take the lever part out to clean but I have at least one tap which looks like I should take the barrel part that rotates apart to clean also.

Does anyone do this? Is there a technique? Don't want to force and break it.

Not caused any problems yet but I just like the clean look and don't want to take chances.

Of course a new tap is an option but I imagine there is a way to take apart?

You can separate it. First soak in hot water before pulling apart and before re-assembly. Be warned it will not withstand the same pressure afterwards. They are cheap buy a new one.
