Dont use twin and earth cable for that type of wiring. Just use single core multistrand, something like 1mm^2

might not be a quick question ;)
is it just the control wiring or is it to control things like heating elements (don't have one myself but i think some have relays to control like 40A?)?
that might affect whether 1mm² is enough. but i'd agree that t n e is possibly not ideal. i'd rob a load of single cores from an old bit of flexible cable.

Quite correct, we would need more specifics on the actual application depending on whether its just thr control wiring or something else

fwiw i used 15a rated 1.5mm^2 multistrand flex for the internal wiring of my controllers, That said the highest draw on any single circuit is from a 3kw element (+ control box overhead).

Its probably easiest to use a section of the same flex employed to feed power to and from any controller ;) that is as long as that has been selected correctly..

Also ensure any connecting blocks used are rated above your expected draw.

for the dc drive circuit to control any SSRs employed you needn't use such heavy wires as the load they carry is measured in milliamps.
ist update for months n months..

Hi,
Sorry I never got back to this topic. Little spare time with 2 year old but loving it!
Thanks for the update and realise now that can wire the low voltage side lower side than the SSR / Heating element.
Just getting bits together for when I can dedicate some time towards it.
