Inkbird 308 OCRing to generate a pretty graph

Post by chris2012 » Thu May 25, 2017 9:46 pm

https://www.anfractuosity.com/projects/ ... kbird-308/ - This is a silly little project I've been working on, to OCR the temperature display on the Inkbird using a program called SSOCR (I realise this is rather silly, however it does save using another temp probe ;).

Silly but ingenious.

Very cool. Out of curiosity, is there a reason you didn't use a brewpi? I'm about to go down the route of making my first fermentation fridge/chamber and was considering the inkbird, but the brewpi seems like it has more flexibility.
Fermenting: AG#22 San Diego IPA
Drinking: Probably.

I've not had fermentation control before, to begin with I just wanted something off the shelf and cheapish to use, I do plan to eventually switch to using a microcontroller + SSRs
