I use the boiler as my kettle and of course the element packed up, literally the bottom fell off it!!
So I fitted a bendable low watt density element which works very well but I need to keep about 7 - 10 litres in the kettle to cover it and when I'm using the boiler as a Kettle RIMS that reduces the amount of water I have to spage with.
Ideally I'd like to fit a new concealed element 1.5 or 2 Kw would be enough, I could then use the element currently fitted to get to strike temperature, to the boil and the concealed element as the RIMS heater during mashing.
Do you know where I can get a concealed element that will fit without a huge amount of modifications and preferably better quality than the original?
Many Thanks. aamcle

There is guy on ebay that very occasionally had elements from returned items which is where I bought my replacement from but as the design has now changed I'm guessing finding either a replacement or alternative will be pretty difficult. You'll have a better luck fitting a non-concealed type.

I've got a couple of the old style Buffalo concealed elements, new and unused.
Yours for the postage plus a few quid.
