Hop PELLET spider/bag recommendations

Post by Manngold » Fri Aug 11, 2017 7:40 pm

Hi all.

Increasingly the hops I am getting are in pellet form. During my last brew day I had to unblock the pump during the boil to allow the chiller to work.

Can anyone recommend a decent hop spider (that works with pellets) or link me to decent hop bags that I can use.

I am using a Grainfather so can't really change the hop filter. My concern with the hop spider is that it might not reach the wort (especially if I use the small batch kit).

Any ideas?

Thanks

While ive since invested in a SS mesh basket type for flower hops, i too used my old grain bag previously.. 10mm soft copper is easy to form into a support loop if needed..
