Hambleton Bard presure barrels - replacing seals etc

Post by Roy » Mon Oct 16, 2017 9:42 am

Hi all,

I got my hands on a couple of used Hambleton Bard pressure barrels over the weekend. Looking to get up and running with one quite soon and would like advice on where i'd find a supplier who can provide me with the relevant seals so I can replace them and get the barrel in use!

The cap has an S30 valve and a pressure release valve on - if necessary would it be more financially viable to source a cap with the new valve/seals already in place?

Edit: not specifically looking to use an S30 cylinder, if anything i'll use the smaller cylinders to pressurise the barrel so i'm all ears really! A pressure release valve would be a welcome addition, though.

If there the same as the 2 I have neither of the 2 replacement seal sizes for 4" barrels fit it and though replacement lids seem to fit they will not seal as the thread is different. So I have 2 but only 1 seal between them but they do work well if you do have the parts.
