hi anyone fancy a cheap one pot brewing system?
have just bought a sq professional 9l rice cooker off amazon for that price
it holds around 18l of water it has a 2700w element ov aliminum pot
it has 2 settings cook n keep warm n cook cook gets a boil in no time
and warm keeps it going 2 £7 biab bags one for grain and one for hops
£40 vs £1000 game on???

congrats on the find, sounds like a solid plan, hope you take pics of your brewday experiment.
my suggestion would be to rely on lagging and insulation to maintain the mash temp without applying any active heat, without any liquor movement and a big bag of wet grain in the pot the risk of cooking the grain base before any heat permeates to a thermometer poked in the grain may be too high??

It seems to be quite a long way from having BM type functionality; the £27 budget would be blown out of the water were it to be converted to attain that. But it may have a lot of potential for simple infusions on a small scale. I'll be interested to see how you go on with it

Much the same as calling a Burco boiler a £100 Braumeister.
It can not hold a mash at a set temperature via the heating element, it does not have an internal grain tube and it does not have the capability of re-circulating wort through the grain bed.
It is from what I can tell an alternative to a Burco boiler, minus the tap.

i know
bought it thinking it was 1/4 the size and had a play around with it last night gonna try it with an inkbird tonight see if
will hold mash temp seems to hokd heat pretty well
