My son is keen to resurrect my Massive Brewery which is a 10l BIAB system. He's found all the parts and manual but I seem to have deleted the Excel spreadsheet which is used to calculate mash and sparge volumes. Does anyone have a copy they could share?
I know that there are lots of other calcualtors he could use but, to get him going it would be nice to use the original. Many thanks,
John

Re: Massive Brewery Excel spreadsheet.
For mash, work on 2.5L per kg of malt
Malt will broadly absorb its own weight in water. So for a 4kg grain bill, you’d mash with 10Lbof water and get around 6L of wort.
If you are aiming for a 20L batch, you’ll want around 27L of wort in the boil, so you’d have 21L of sparge water.
Obviously, this all ignores the gravity you’re aiming for, but will get you there.
