Salvaged it from a recent shower pump upgrade in our loft conversion. It's a Stuart Turner Monsoon 1.5 bar. Have taken it apart to see if it would be easy to clean etc and all seems good to me. Just needs descaling. Has anyone else used a shower pump to transfer liquid in their brewing setup before?

I'm not sure what pressure our shower pump works at but given how powerful the shower is I would have thought it is way over the top for homebrew use.

Unless your brewing in cubic meter quantities it's far more than you need and may not even be good grade. But it you bottle your beer it would be a wonderful basis for a 12 place bottle or keg washer.

Shower pumps are powerful, but aren't meant to be run on a long continuous basis. They overheat and cut out after 20 minutes controls use, but will go again after a rest.
As others have mentioned, it won't be food grade and not really meant for pumping hot sugary wort - normally just water at max 50c.
