cleaning ss boilers

Post by FlippinMental » Fri Apr 28, 2006 8:05 pm

my ss boiler consists of a few different metals, namely copper, brass, the element metal, and of course the ss pot. what would the best product/ combination of products to keep things clean.

also, it mentioned elsewhere that keeping the element shiny is important to maximise life. citric acid is recommended. i have also read somewhere that white vinegar is good for this purpose. how would you use these products.

would the more experienced brewers mind sharing their clean-up routines during and at the end of a brew session.

Well I'm no expert, but I'd probably put citric acid on it and rub it a bit, then pour some vinegar on it or something
